On 6th October 2014, morning 9:45, we were on the Indore-Khalghat road and a car jumped from the other side onto us. In a matter of seconds my whole world turned upside down. I watched my 8 year old daughter, Anvi and husband die in front of my eyes. I came out with my two and a half year old and asked for help. I was pleading to every car passing by to help me but nobody stopped for 30 minutes. Those three who hit us were watching from a distance as I saw them standing there near their car. After much pleading, I finally got help from people who informed our family and friends. If I had got this help a bit earlier, my kid and husband could have been saved. I lost everything in just a few minutes. It was a traumatic sense of helplessness and loss. The driver who killed my family was out on bail within a few hours of surrendering next day. I am still in shock and disbelief. There were total of 121 accidents recorded on that road. Road safety is one issue that needs special attention.
